The Pinewood Derby is a racing event. Cub Scouts, with the help of parents, build their own cars from kits containing a block of pine, plastic wheels and metal axles.
Similar Cub Scouting events include the raingutter regatta with boats and the space derby using rubber band powered rockets. Pack 222 traditionally holds their Pinewood Derby race in March or April. 2019 Pinewood Derby InformationDownload: Office Redwood District Pinewood Derby Rules for 2013 Car Registration: Date: Thursday, April 25, 2019 Location: Oak Knoll Elementary School, Small Multi-Purpose Room Time: 6:30pm to 8:30 pm (Cars may be registered during this time) Note: Cars will be "impounded" until the race.
